Bells Up’s BACON Winemaker Dinner: Featuring BACON and Subterra
Announcing our 2019 Winemaker Dinner at Bells Up Winery, featuring BACON. Yes, really. Our friends Martin and Janet Bleck of Subterra: A Wine Cellar Restaurant have agreed to re-create winemaker Dave’s Milestone Birthday Dinner—in which every course incorporated BACON—from last September (with a couple of seasonal updates). We’re hosting it here in the winery, and pairing each course with a selection of Bells Up’s wines. MENU: Hors D’Oeuvres Bacon-Stuffed Bleu Cheese Stuffed Dates with Honey Petite Pea Salad with Bacon and Pesto Dressing Bacon Chips with Fresh Guacamole and Caviar > Paired with 2018 Rhapsody Pinot Blanc < First Course Maple Cured Candied Salmon Nugget and Sweet and Spicy Glazed Pork Belly with Roasted Root Vegetables, Dressed Baby Greens, and Cider Mustard Whip > Paired with 2018 Prelude Estate Rosé of Pinot Noir < Second Course Beef Medallions with Loaded Bacon and Cheddar Mashed Potatoes, Roasted Asparagus with Bacon and Shallot, and a Bacon Mushroom Red Wine Reduction > Paired with 2015 Titan Pinot Noir < Dessert Chocolate Stout Cheesecake with Candied Bacon > Paired with 2017 Firebird Syrah <
